19'' FO Plastic Patch Panels (PPP)
The modularly designed PPP is a reasonably priced solution for 19" installations. While it is light in weight, it is very robust. The assemblies designed for installation in the PPP (tray, front modules) can be ordered individually, which considerably increases flexibility, for example in logistics.
The tray has a cable/fibre guide integrated into its base. The tray can be securely closed thanks to its two locks and its metal cover. Up to 24 fibres can be terminated at the through-adapters (SM or MM) installed in the four front modules; when MT-RJ or LC plug connections are used, this can be increased to 48 fibres .
The PPP is especially suitable as a patch drawer for breakout cables with connectors, which makes storage of the splices superfluous
However, when mini-breakout cables with tight buffered fibres, for example, are used the splicing of pigtails is necessary. In this case, the special PPP splice-holder can be installed directly, i.e. without a splice cassette. It then offers reliable storage area for the splices.
When loose-tube cables and pigtails are to be installed we suggest that splice cassettes be used. They can be fixed to the floor of the PPP by means of an adapter. If two splice cassettes are required, they can be installed on top of each other. When work has to be done on the lower cassette, the upper one can be securely placed in the mounting aid at the side (optional)
Alternatively, pre-assembled splice modules with pigtails (Order number: 6977 2 30X-XX) can be installed. They can also be fixed in the drawer by means of the adapter.
